If you are in a room where you need to open that door and its trapped (you an actually begin a stage like this), wait a few minutes and it should become safe to open. If you open the door, you'll wind up in a retarded endless hallway. You will know if a door is trapped if you hear a knocking sound and the screen shakes. to avoid the stupid endless hallways that kept screwing me over: sometimes the lodger will warn you before opening a trapped door, but not always. You will know you are a second or two from failing and restarting when the lodger stops and says something. Black capillary looking likes will grow inwards from the edges of the screen. past stage 6, you'll also have a stage time limit in the forest stages. Sometimes its better to just leave the rift be and light rooms to put the most space between you and the guest in the house. if you need to get to a room with a rift, but you know a guest is creeping around in the rooms near it, you have to use your best judgment. Lit rooms do not 100% stop guests from coming after and getting you, but they do stop or slow down most of them. the most effective strategy to clear a level is to light up the longest continuous corridor of rooms you can find before you start lighting rooms on other levels. the guests are normally invisible, but you can tell if one is roaming the house if you hear annoying distorted voices. ![]() Your clock will take a little damage when you close a rift, but its better than losing 1/2 a clock if a guest catches you. If furniture appears instead, move on to the next room ![]() The game prioritizes clocks, so you will know if a room has a clock in it as that's the very first thing that will spawn. Some rooms have several sets of furniture. you'll notice the Lodger closes his eyes when he enters a room and furniture or a clock will appear after a second or two. to complete the nightmare (house) stages, you need to find clocks. Some tips to play this piece of junk so you don't waste too much time playing: Again, you must finish the game in time otherwise you get GAME OVER instead. This is very handy for preserving the time meter if you mess up really bad or the game screws you over. You must do this before you fail and restart a level or else it will save. The good news is Knock Knock saves between levels and you can restart one with the time you started it with by dashboarding and quitting the game. If the meter is completely black, you will instead get a GAME OVER when you leave the final house. If you can't see it, use the right stick or to zoom out and see it. find all fragments of reality (gotten from collecting girl in forest levels or given randomly from endless hallways)Īfter the 6th nightmare stage, you should notice something that looks like a white lightning bolt at the top of the screen. This was despite having met the requirements for the good ending. I on the other hand discovered Knock Knock has a 3rd ending: an unwinnable game over scenario. This game is a steaming pile and PiCkLE SQU1D literally lucked his way into completing this game. ![]()
